Abstract

We've heard it before, "Security is a process, not a product". But what does it mean and how can I apply this to my organization? Dennis London has been a security practitioner for two decades and is going to walk you through the "process" of securing your environment. Learn and understand how to properly look at your organization and determine what your security posture is and where it may need to be improved regardless of what your security vendor may tell you.

Biography

ISSA OC Chapter Member Dennis London has been in the security field for over 20 years. His introduction into the world of Information Technology began while he was a Marine. After the military he became the IS Manager for Gradco USA in Irvine. He then went on to become the Global AV Mgr for Ingram Micro in Santa Ana before joining the ranks of McAfee as a Senior Sales Engineer. In 2008 he started his own security practice, London Security Solutions, which is a security reseller and consulting firm. In his role as a security practitioner, he has been a customer, a vendor, a consultant, and a reseller, so there should be something of value to everyone in attendance.
